Janelle Gasper Receives the Aspen Award
The Aspen Award was created to recognize the outstanding individuals working behind the scenes in our support service departments who go above and beyond in their roles at MCHHS. Aspen Award nominees consistently displays teamwork and excellent interactions with staff, patients and visitors. We are proud to announce that our Aspen Award Honoree is Janelle Gasper, Business Office. Her nomination stated, “I would like to nominate Janelle Gasper for the Aspen Award because she is very knowledgeable in her role. She is always very kind and helpful when I need to set up payroll deductions for my hospital bills. I’ve seen her interact with patients and their family members, and she always goes above and beyond for them. I’ve heard firsthand how helpful she was for a family trying to navigate the Medicaid application process to get into a nursing home. Janelle is very deserving of this award.”

Nominees were Osmanys Brito Alcorn, Dietary; Jason Carr, Plant Operations; Keturah McAllaster, Laundry; Jason Prager, Environmental Services; Kelly Schmidt, Environmental Services; and Peggy Smith, Dietary.
