
MCHHS Dietary Director Kim Jordan Selected to Vizient Food Council
Kim Jordan, Dietary Director at Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems, has been selected as
the Vice Chair of the Vizient Food Council, a distinguished role that requires an application and
selection process.
The Food Council is an influential group that plays a key role in making contracting decisions
for the food industry. The council consists of approximately 18 members representing a diverse
range of food service sectors, including hospitals, schools, casinos, and retirement communities
across the nation.
As Vice Chair, Jordan will contribute her expertise in hospital dietary management while also
gaining valuable insights into food sourcing and industry networking. “I am honored and grateful
for this leadership role,” said Jordan. “This is exciting for our rural hospital to make a
commitment and contribution to the council's goals and objectives. I view my participation as a
valuable chance to collaborate with other industry professionals, share insights and expertise, and
make a positive impact on the food service sector.”
Council members meet monthly to discuss industry trends, vendor relations, and supply chain
challenges. Additionally, they gather in person to collaborate on solutions that impact food
service operations nationwide.
