Leadership Mitchell County January Session Hosted at Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems
On Wednesday, January 10, 2024, Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems hosted the morning session of Leadership Mitchell County (LMC). LMC has nine sessions from August to April with each session structured to provide content that will help develop leadership skills, enhance communication and build community awareness. The leadership skill the class focused on this month was communication, and the Kansas Leadership Center (KLC) competency was intervene skillfully. Other topics covered throughout the year include, Law Enforcement/Corrections, Arts & Tourism, Agricultural Dynamics, State & Local Government, and Economic Development. These sessions invite individuals to develop relationships and create a network they will use the rest of their life.
The January session started by having breakfast provided by the MCHHS Corner Café and took a facility tour led by Darren True, CAO, and Nicki Cleveland, CNO. The group was presented with a healthcare panel discussion consisting of: Janelle Kircher, MCHHS CEO; Chris Mondero, S&S Drug Pharmacist in Charge; Dr. Jason Cheney, Beloit Medical Center; Cortney Murrow, Administrator, Mitchell County Health Department; Tim Jankowski, D.D.S, Dental Designs; and Gilletta Molleker, Pawnee Mental Health Services.
The MCHHS staff enjoys and embraces opportunities to connect with our community. Leadership Mitchell County is an incredible program designed to strengthen and develop leaders in North Central Kansas.
