Solomon Valley Hospice receives donation

Solomon Valley Hospice received a donation of handmade fleece blankets for their patients from students at Pike Valley Jr/Sr High School. Katie Carlgren, FFA Advisor at Pike Valley Schools, contacted Solomon Valley Hospice regarding various community service projects they were interested in doing. For Katie and her students, their donation was personally rewarding from experiences they have had with loved ones needing Solomon Valley Hospice.

The students worked together to make 15 fleece blankets, individually bagged, and added handwritten inspirational notes for Solomon Valley Hospice patients. “We are grateful for this heartfelt donation by the Pike Valley students,” stated Christine Budke, Hospice Director. “I know the handwritten inspirational notes will bring a smile to our patient’s faces.”
