Surgery Done Right Here
Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems (MCHHS) announces the expansion of its surgical team, increasing your access to same-day surgical care right here in Beloit, Kansas. We are excited to introduce you to Danny Owens, MD.
After serving in Operation Desert Storm with the Army, Danny Owens returned to Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma. While attending college, he began working as a paramedic, leading him to the decision to become a doctor. Owens completed his medical degree at Ross University and surgical residency at Texas Tech University. Prior to joining MCHHS, Dr. Owens provided 15 years of general surgery at a Level II Trauma Center in Waco, Texas, with extensive experience in trauma/critical care, emergency surgery, minimally invasive surgery, robotics, and general surgery.
Dr. Owens remarks, “I strongly believe that God created all human beings equal and deserve the same respect, compassion, and quality of surgical care. This philosophy drives my approach to patient care and my interactions at the bedside. I am committed to providing compassionate, up-to-date care to every patient I serve.”
Dr. Owens and his family are from a small town and are excited to settle down in Beloit, a rural place they now call home. Owens stated, “We love living in rural areas where people are friendly and we can really get to know everyone. We were attracted to rural Kansas due to its high quality of life and strong sense of community, which we found in Beloit.”
“We are delighted to expand our surgical coverage and Dr. Owens has already proven to be a wonderful addition to our team,” said Janelle Kircher, MCHHS CEO. “His dedication to advancing surgical practices and providing compassionate care to improve patient outcomes aligns perfectly with our mission.”
MCHHS remains dedicated to exceptional surgical care, now with two highly skilled surgeons serving our region. Dr. Owens is now accepting new patients. To schedule an appointment with Dr. Owens or Dr. Banker, contact the MCHHS Surgical Clinic at 785-738-9405 today.
