Education
The Education Department at Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems strives to work closely with all departments within the hospital as well as with associates from surrounding physician clinics.
The Education Department provides in-service training programs for all hospital personnel, planned programs and resources for personal and professional development, teaching programs for patients and families, and orientation for new personnel.
The Education Department serves as a training site for the American Heart Association to provide certification in:
●Heartsaver and Healthcare Provider CPR
●Heartsaver First Aid
●Advanced Cardiac Life Support
●Family and Friends CPR
In addition to these certification levels we also provide Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification through the American Academy of Pediatrics and Trauma Nurse Core Course through the Emergency Nurses Association.
The Education Department works closely with various agencies to provide a well balanced scope of educational offerings to professionally licensed individuals.
Prenatal Classes
Prenatal classes are held on a quarterly basis by a Certified Prenatal Instructor. The class covers information on the various stages of pregnancy, labor and delivery. For more information, please contact Deb Beam at 785-738-9580.Contact Information
