Spend less time recovering, and more time getting back to life
Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems is excited to provide robotic assisted surgery to support surgeons in performing minimally invasive procedures, resulting in shorter hospital stays and more time for what you love. This state-of-the-art technology marks a significant milestone in expanding the hospitals ability to offer precise surgeries, giving patients in North Central Kansas access to advanced medical care closer to home. How the da Vinci Xi® Works
The da Vinci Xi® is the most advanced robotic-assisted surgical system available, offering unparalleled precision and control to surgeons. Unlike traditional open surgeries, which require large incisions, or even standard laparoscopic procedures, the da Vinci system uses small instruments that allow for greater flexibility and precision.Although the technology is robotic, it’s important to understand that the surgeon maintains full control at every stage of the procedure. The surgeon operates the system from a console, where hand movements are seamlessly translated into precise, real-time actions by robotic instruments within the patient’s body. The da Vinci Xi® system enhances this control with 3DHD visualization, offering a magnified view of the surgical area. This setup gives the surgeon enhanced vision, precision, and flexibility, allowing for highly controlled movements that are difficult to achieve with traditional surgery.
