Advancing Parkinson’s Care in Our Rural Community
For individuals in rural communities, access to specialized Parkinson’s care is often limited. Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems continues its commitment to support our local communities by increasing services needed right here at home. Physical Therapists Amber Krier and Amber Corpstein recently completed a two-day Parkinson Wellness Recovery (PWR!) certification workshop, enhancing their ability to provide specialized care for individuals with Parkinson’s disease (PD).

Teddy Bear Clinic at MCHHS
The Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems Auxiliary, in collaboration with Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems, hosted its annual Teddy Bear Clinic for kindergarten students this fall, an event designed to help young children feel more comfortable with healthcare settings.
This early exposure to healthcare helps to reduce fear of doctor visits and teaches children the importance of health and wellness from a young age.
